Jesmond - Town House Garden
This was a beautiful town house which had a run down poorly designer front garden with an awkward entrance route, with the front gardens being the principle garden for this street. The client was keen to create a formal beautiful space, with privacy, seating and a water feature.
The design chosen was for a formal central path from the street, installing an elegant wrought iron gate and fence within a lower back wall. The property had a beautiful entrance and having this formal central path brought focus on this beautiful feature. We created 4 formal and symmetrical rooms within the front garden: One with a beautiful old sandstone trough that we converted into a water feature, the second a circular seating terrace with lovely Vande Moortel clay pavers in an herringbone pattern, the third a gravel terrace and the 4th a meadow lawn. Each area interconnected and surrounded by lush perennial planting with lots of structural topiary, creating an elegant and classic garden with a contemporary twist.
The client indulged in beautiful copper gardens lighting, which elevated the scheme.
